About me

My full name is Dimosthenis Pagakis (it looks like a roller coaster and it does create an emotional one). Worry not, you can call me Dimos. I’m a software engineer by degree and a UI/UX designer by passion. I’ve worked with both startups and big corporations and have treaded multiple waters of software, products and technologies. I combine everything I know and everything yet to discover in order to help your business become high tech.

I love coding, automating daunting tasks and helping businesses grow. I use the latest and coolest open source tools and always do my best to stay up-to-date with industry standards.

Technologies

Software development has a wide pool of tools to pick from depending on the task at hand. I prefer using modern open source tools (jargon for “free”) that are highly praised by the developer community and actively maintained. I always try to remain objective and choose the right tool for the job, providing solutions that are demand-pulled and not technology-pulled.

My experience is equally parted in frontend and backend roles while also having tipped my toe in mobile development, CI/CD and big data. I mostly work with these technologies.

Hobbies

Other than a big computer nerd, I’m a fitness nerd. I eat clean, run semi-long distances and play basketball (or at least used to before my terrible case of hernia). I enjoy watching movies or series, reading fewer books than I’d like to admit and listening to or playing music.

My proudest accomplishments are overcoming obesity and being able to dunk a basketball. Also, #GoBucks.
